On Thursday, July 25, Chef Mark Sparaco suffered a heart attack. He was taken to Geisinger Medical Center. As of this writing, Mark is out of immediate danger, but has a long road to recovery. Mark will be taking the Fall Semester off, but we hope to welcome him back to the chapter house when he is ready to resume work. Terry Brown ’15 and Tom Deans ’55 worked tirelessly to find an interim chef, and have selected Penny Zimmerman, a former Dining Service cook, for the position. A large group of recent alumni and actives along with the help of Phi Kappa Psi at Bucknell and friends of PLT just completed a fundraising campaign to give back to Mark and Beth and aid in Mark’s recovery process.
